Telescope
An instrument that is used to observe distant objects using mirrors, lenses or radio antenna. Optical telescopes are design to make observations directly by collecting and magnifying visible light. Radio telescopes collect electromagnetic radiation in a range of radio frequencies. Other specialised telescopes collect light, such as infra red and ultra violet, that is invisible to the eye.
