Gemini
The Gemini project was announced in January 1962. The Gemini spacecraft had a crew of two astronauts.
The main objectives were:
- to investigate the possibilities of men living for an extended period of two weeks in space
- explore and develop the methodology necessary to rendezvous and dock with another space vehicle
- gain experience of re-entry and landing
There were ten missions in all:
